Dalit woman alleges gang-rape in Jamnagar
Jamnagar: A Dalit woman has alleged that
she was raped by four men last month, police said here on Thursday.
The incident took place on January 9, but the
30-year-old victim did not file the complaint immediately. She
approached the police today.
In her complaint, the woman has stated that four
persons -- Praveen Satwara, Mahendra Dudhwala, Jayram Satwara
and Raju Patel -- raped her on January 9, when her husband was
not in the house and she was alone.
She has further stated that the four had threatened to
kill her if she reported the incident to the police.
An FIR has been lodged against the four persons whose
names have been mentioned in the complaint and further
investigation was being done by DySP N V Ninama.
