LoC cross-over: Two Indian teenagers return back home

Poonch (J&K): It is a time for reunion and relief for the families of the two Indian teenagers who had accidentally strayed into Pakistani territory.

The Pakistan Army handed them over to Indian authorities at Chakan-Da-Bagh along Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir last evening, officials said.

14-year-old Mohammad Yunus and 15-year-old Mohammad Ishtiyak reunited with their families in Gigdiya border village in Sabzian belt in Poonch district, a month after they had strayed to the other side, officials said.

The two had strayed into Pakistani territory along LoC inadvertently while searching for their missing cattle on April 29.

They were handed over to senior district officer Poonch, Matloob Khan who told officials that Pak Army had interrogated them about their crossing into Pakistan.

Army authorities informed their counterparts across about the straying of two teenagers and demanded their return.
