Two held in connection with boy's abduction
Salem (TN): A 16-year-old boy, who was allegedly abducted by a couple for ransom two days ago, was left in front of a park on Wednesday and the two taken into custody, police said.
The boy, son of a silk sarees designer, had left home on the night of July 10 following a phone call.
After that a man called up the house and said the boy would not return unless a sum of rs five lakh was paid as ransom.
The Salem City Police Commissioner Chokkalingam was informed and three teams were formed to trace the boy.
The boy was found in front of the Anna park this morning.
Karungalpatty Arun, an employee in the designer's company, and his wife were arrested in this connection, police said.
