Omar, McCain discuss Indo-Pak relations

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said he discussed post-Osama situation in South Asia and Indo-Pakistan relations, including Kashmir with US Senator John McCain.

"We discussed the region in the light of Osama's killing and India-Pakistan and Kashmir," Omar wrote on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

Al Qaeda Chief, Osama bin Laden, was killed in a pre-dawn raid on his hideout in Pakistani city of Abbotabad by US Navy Seals on May 2.

McCain, who arrived here yesterday on a special plane from Pakistani capital Islamabad, met the Chief Minister and Governor N N Vohra here.

The US Senator, who was the Republican presidential candidate in 2008 US elections, is the highest ranking politician from the US to visit the state.

McCain flew out of Kashmir this morning after visiting Mughal Gardens.
