Bombs kill 5 in South Sudan: Doctor
Rubkona: A doctor says five
people were killed in bombings on strategic locations in South Sudan's Unity State.
Peter Gatkuoth, medical director of Bentiu Hospital, says
four civilians and a soldier were killed today.
Jets released six bombs. They targeted a bridge that
links Bentiu to a road into Sudan. They also hit an airstrip
just minutes after a UN humanitarian plane left.
Fighting along the north-south border has been near
constant over the past two weeks.
Troops from South Sudan on Wednesday captured the
oil-rich border town of Heglig, claimed by Sudan.
