BJP dissident Kanshiram Rana appeals OBCs to defeat Modi govt

Ahmedabad: Former union minister and dissident BJP leader Kanshiram Rana on Tuesday appealed to OBCs in Gujarat to stand up against Modi government for their rights.

"Our community has got nothing in the last 10 years of this (BJP) rule. The time has come to fight for our rights and we should bring change in the present regime to gain our rights," said Rana who recently gravitated towards the anti-Modi group led by veteran BJP leader Keshubhai Patel.

Rana was addressing a public rally of OBCs at Botad town in Bhavnagar district, organised by the Modi-baiters as part of their ongoing campaign against the chief minister ahead of the assembly elections due in December.

"OBC community in Gujarat form more than 50 per cent of state population....I also belong to this community. We should not stop till we get our rights," Rana said.
