Hostage-taker shot dead at Beijing subway
Beijing: A man was shot dead at a subway station in Beijing on Thursday night after he took a security officer hostage.
The man tried to hurt her with a knife, Xinhua quoted authorities as saying. The incident took place at Hujialou station around 9.00 pm. The hostage was rescued.
