Naxals posing hurdles in development: Raman Singh
Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Wednesday appealed to all sections of society to come forward to put an end to the Naxal menace in the state.
"Naxals are anti-national, anti-constitutional, anti-human and are putting hurdles in development of the state...Their mask has come off," he said in his Independence Day speech.
Singh said the state government has initiated measures like filling up vacancies in police department and other government departments, carrying out developmental works in backward region to tackle the Red insurgency.
"I salute the people who died in Naxal violence and also salute the determination of those staying put in Naxal- affected parts of the state," the chief minister said.
Announcing a loan waiver for 90,000 small and marginal farmers, Singh said, "I am confident that with collective efforts of all, the scourge of Naxalism will be rooted out from Chhattisgarh".
