MPs not quitting Lok Sabha, Parliament committees: BJP
New Delhi: Reacting to the reports of possibility of Bharatiya Janata Party members resignation en masse from Parliament and also pulling out from all Parliamentary committees, sources within the main opposition party on Thursday denied any such move.
A leading newspaper had reported that the main opposition party members are contemplating to resign from the Lok Sabha and also moving out of all Parliamentary committees to pressurise the government in the wake of CAG report on coal blocks allocation.
BJP MPs had yesterday walked out of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) investigating the 2G spectrum scam.
BJP has been has been persistent with its demand that nothing less than Prime Minister’s Manmohan Singh's resignation would satisfy them over the CAG report on coal blocks allocation.
Meanwhile, party leader LK Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Yashwant Sinha and Arun Jaitley today met to chalk out their future strategy to be adopted in Parliament.
