MP min writes to Zardari over sacking of Pak's dy attorney gen

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Minister Babulal Gaur has written a letter to Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari urging him to reconsider the sacking of their deputy attorney general, who had "performed Kar Seva" by cleaning the footwear of pilgrims in India.

In a letter sent yesterday, Gaur said that Pakistan's deputy attorney general Khursheed Mohammed Khan was sacked by his country's government soon after he cleaned shoes of pilgrims at the Golden Temple at Amritsar in Punjab earlier this year during a visit.

Gaur mentioned in the letter that although some reasons were given for Khan's sacking, the general feeling is that the 'Kar Seva' done by him at Amritsar was the cause of his exit.

Khan should have been honoured, but instead was sacked and this sent wrong signals to the society in the two countries, the minister said.
