Jharkhand: Two killed following Maoist kangaroo court verdict
Gumla: Two men have been killed by the Maoists after accusing them of stealing goats at Banalat village in Gumla district’s Banalat village, the police said on Monday.
The left-wing guerrillas led by the CPI (Maoist’s) zonal commander Nakul Yadav caught Laxman Lohra and Rajdeo Khervar at the village under Bishunpur police station and convened a kangaroo court.
The ultras later chopped off their hands and beat them to death on made up charges that the two had stolen goats in the village, the sources said.
They also beat up at least 10 other villagers after falsely branding them of being police informers, the sources said adding the incident occurred on late Saturday night.
