British cop arrested for calling 3 Asian women 'Pakis'
London: A British policeman of Mauritian descent has been arrested for racially aggravated public order by calling three Asian-origin women "Pakis" on a boozy night out.
Detective Constable Darren Sonnar allegedly lost his rag when the women wouldn't let him jump a cashpoint queue.
Sonnar, 33, had been out celebrating his birthday with pals. A complaint was made and officers in Brighton arrested him.
He has now been suspended from a specialist unit at Belgravia police station in central London, The Sun tabloid reported today.
Sonnar will face trial in April for "racially aggravated public order" and using "threatening words/behaviour", the report said.
Sonnar, however, denies the charges.
