Delhi constable's death case: 'Police should be sensitive'
New Delhi: Congress spokesman Sandeep Dikshit on Wednesday said police should be sensitive while investigating Constable Subhash Chand Tomar's death case.
Notably, doubts are being raised about the cause of the death of the constable during protests at India Gate.
Tomar died at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital on Tuesday morning after he suffered injuries during violent protests at India Gate on Sunday against the gang-rape of a young girl in a moving bus, the police had said.
The Delhi police had claimed that Tomar was beaten up by protesters at India Gate during the anti-rape protests.
However, an eyewitness has claimed that Tomar was not beaten up by protesters, but just collapsed while walking.
Also, Dr PS Sidhu at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital has told a news agency that the constable had no major external injury marks when he was brought to the hospital.
