Maharashtra to hire 63,000 cops in five years, says RR Patil



Thane: Maharashtra Home Minister RR Patil said that nearly 63,000 personnel will be recruited by the Maharashtra police in five years, speaking at the concluding session of the 25th Maharashtra State Police meet here this evening.

He said that he had been assured by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar that funds for the police force will not be a problem.

He lauded the efforts of the Thane police for setting up a sports complex within two months and said that it will be converted into a sports academy for the Maharashtra Police.
