One killed, 4 injured in car collision in Jaipur, driver flees after accident

One person was killed and four injured on Monday when the SUV they were traveling in collided with a car at a sharp turn on the Nahargarh Fort road here.

Jaipur: One person was killed and four injured on Monday when the SUV they were traveling in collided with a car at a sharp turn on the Nahargarh Fort road here.

Naveen Buwalia (20), a resident of Kekdi in Ajmer, died on the spot and the injured have been hospitalised, police said, adding the accident occurred when the victims were going to visit the fort.

"The vehicles, which were at high speed, rammed into each other at the turn. The SUV's driver has been booked for negligence. He is yet to be arrested," Investigating Officer Subhash Chandra said.

A case has been registered at the Accident North Police Station under relevant sections of the IPC, he said.
