Ajay Devgn announces Punjabi remake of Singham

The Punjabi version of the film will star Parmish Verma best known for delivering hit songs like Gaal ni kadni and Shada.  

Ajay Devgn announces Punjabi remake of Singham

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn is all set to present the Punjabi remake of Tamil film Singam starring Suriya. The Hindi remake of the aforementioned film featured Ajay in the titular role and it was directed by Rohit Shetty.

The Punjabi version of the film will star Parmish Verma best known for delivering hit songs like Gaal ni kadni and Shada.
Ajay took to Twitter on his birthday (April 2) to share this news.

He tweeted: "Punjab Da Sher @ParmishVerma @KumarMangat @AbhishekPathakk @ADFfilms @PanoramaMovies @OmjeeGroup (sic)."

Verma who is thrilled to be a part of the film took to his Instagram handle to post:

"Mere Layi Bahut Maan wali gal hai, south te Bollywood wich Blockbuster hit film #Singham Di Punjabi Remake with Mainu Singham Play Karan da Mauka mil rea hai. #AjayDevgan Sir De Production De wich in association with Kumar Mangat ji and with Proudly Omjee. Main Waheguru da shukana karna Chahunda Haan. Aapni Family te har Ik Fan Supporter nu Mubarak Deni Chahunda Haan. 
Munish Sahni Bhaji eh Jitt da sehra tuhade sir janda Hai. 
Waheguru Mehar Kare, 2019 le Chak Main aa gia (sic)."

The film will be jointly produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak.

For the unversed, Ajay played Bajirao Singham in Singham and Singham Returns. The first film was a remake of the Tamil film Singam while the second one was original. Ajay's cop avatar was loved by moviegoers and both the films turned out to be massive hits at the Box Office.
