Did Shraddha Kapoor, Disha Patani quote exorbitant paycheque to star opposite Prabhas in ‘Saaho’?

Mumbai: After the roaring success of SS Rajamouli’s two-part magnum opus – Baahubali, Bollywood actresses have expressed their desire to work with Telugu superstar Prabhas. Recently, Alia had spoken about her wish to share screen space with the hunk.

Prabhas, who had invested over 5 years for the epic film, will be seen next in ‘Saaho’. And the makers of the film are busy finalising the leading lady for the film.

If the reports are anything to go by, then the makers wanted to cast a Bollywood actress opposite Prabhas to give their film a pan-India appeal.

According to a report in DNA, Shraddha Kapoor and Disha Patani were approached by the producers for the lead role but the ladies apparently quoted an exorbitant price.

“Shraddha was our first choice. She heard us out and was almost jumping with excitement during the narration. Then, she quoted a price that had the team running out of her residence as fast as possible,” DNA quoted an insider as saying.

The ‘Ok Jaanu’ star reportedly asked for Rs 8 Crores as remuneration while Disha Patani demanded about Rs 5 Crores.

“She (Disha) started her career in Telugu cinema. So we thought she would be keenly interested in the project, as it stars Prabhas,” the source said.

But surprisingly, she was difficult to reach “Disha wouldn’t meet us. When she finally did, she said she’d let us know. Later, her team members informed us that she liked the script, but would want Rs 5 crore as her fee. We want to know which Bollywood producer pays Disha that kind of money?” asked the source.

Since the deal couldn’t be finalised in Bollywood, the makers have now decided to cast a Telugu actress, the report suggests.
