New Delhi: Thanksgiving is an occasion for everyone to express gratitude and give thanks for their blessings, but many people also look forward to another thing on the holiday – food!
Roast Turkey, chicken, mashed potato, squash, green beans, cranberry sauce – the menu list is endless, not to forget absolutely mouthwatering!
While people in the US will be celebrating this holiday with friends and family, the American astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) are equally excited about celebrating in space.
In a video released by NASA, American astronaut Shane Kimbrough gives us a show-and-tell of their menu for Thanksgiving this week.
He says that Thanksgiving this year will be different for him and his crew members, since it will be celebrated in space and also because it will be a working day for them. So, after a full day of work, their evening will be a time of celebration.
After wishing everybody a happy Thanksgiving, Kimbrough takes you through the menu for their holiday dinner – which also includes the Turkey! After all, why part with tradition even in space?
Shane Kimbrough and Peggy Whitson are the only American astronauts in the ISS.
