New Delhi: Even as earthlings, particularly in the US, celebrate Thanksgiving with friends and family sharing wonderful blessings of life, astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) didn't give it a miss and marked it with a special meal.
On November 24, 2016, the six crew members of Expedition 50 celebrated Thanksgiving in space with rehydrated turkey, stuffing, potatoes and vegetables.

Unlike the past years, it was a working day for the six astronauts, which include two Americans - Shane Kimbrough and Peggy Whitson of NASA - carrying out science experiment all day before gathering for dinner. Usually astronauts take off on Thanksgiving Day.
