Washington, May 29: Things appear to have turned out rather well for Peaches Geldof after she was kicked out of her father`s house.
The 20-year- old socialite moved from her family`s south London home to a double room in the exclusive Mayfair Hotel after a fight with her father in February and she is living their for next to nothing.
The daughter of Boomtown rats rocker Bob Geldof has racked up a bill of over 50,000 pounds - but doesn`t have to pay anything because the hotel has hired her as their ‘brand ambassador’.
For the past 14 weeks, Peaches has been living in a lavish 320-pound per night room at the five-star establishment, dining at the hotel`s restaurant, getting expensive treatments in the spa, enjoying endless drinks from her mini-bar and ordering more than 10,000 pounds worth of room service.
Her pals are given their own rooms when they want to stay and Peaches is upgraded to a 1,000 pounds per night suite whenever one is available.
"Peaches has basically been living at the hotel. She has spent a huge amount of money here with her friends and the tab is taken care of,” Contactmusic quoted a hotel source as saying.
"It`s felt she is a good ambassador for the hotel and because of that she is allowed to have friends stay with her and have parties up in her room," the source added.
In return for the hotel’s free services, Peaches must mention the hotel in her magazine columns and get photographed outside it.
A rep for Peaches insists that she has no plans to move back and is currently searching for a place of her own.
"Peaches is on the ambassador scheme at the hotel. However, she is getting slightly tired of living out of a suitcase. She is house-hunting in London and she is still renting an apartment in New York," he said.
