Incheon: Pan Cheng-Tsung of Taiwan warded off a strong challenge from Kim Nam-Hun of South Korea to win the men`s golf title at the Asian Games on Sunday.
The US-based Pan shot a one-under par 71 in the final round even as Kim came in at 68, but the Taiwanese finished two shots ahead at 17-under 271.
Team-mate Yu Chun-An took the bronze with a score of 276, capping a remarkable day for Taiwan who also won the team title.
Park Gyl-Ol of South Korea won the women`s individual title with 19-under par 269, just one shot clear of Budsabakorn Sukapan of Thailand and five ahead of another Thai girl, Supamas Sangchan.
Thailand took the women`s team title with a combined score of 538, while South Korea claimed the silver and China the bronze.
Chinese sensation Guan Tianlang, who last year became the youngest golfer to qualify for the US Masters aged 14 and even made the cut, finished tied at 13th place with six-under 282.
