New Delhi: PV Sindhu defeated South Korea's Kim Hyo Min 21-12, 21-17 to win the Macau Open Grand Prix title on Sunday. The Indian shuttler's performance was a mega affair after she pocketed the game in just 45 minutes here at the Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion in Macau.
The two-time World Championship bronze-medallist, had earlier defeated Thailand's Busanan Ongbumrungpan, in 42 minutes in the semi-final.
The bronze-medallist at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, Sindhu faced tough competition from Kim, who had come into the finals after beating seventh seed Chinese Yu Sun but the experienced Indian held her nerves to stave off the challenge from the Korean.
November has been a good month for Indian badminton as earlier, Saina Nehwal and K Srikanth pocketed the China Open. Srikanth had gone to beat China's sensation Lin Dan to mark a new height in the sport.
With the Macau title PV Sindhu too has topped the billing in her stake to go for more titles in coming days.
