NBA: Bulls hang on for overtime win over 76ers

The injury-depleted Chicago Bulls squandered a late lead but held on for a 104-95 NBA overtime win over the lowly Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.

Aaron Brooks scored a season-high 31 points and Spanish big man Pau Gasol added 27 points and 16 rebounds for his 10th straight double-double.

Brooks drained a game-tying three-pointer with 33.2 seconds remaining in regulation and the Bulls pulled away in overtime.

Chicago, who had led by 14 points in the fourth quarter, snapped a three-game losing streak.

Nikola Mirotic posted 16 points, 12 boards and five assists for the Bulls, starting in place of Joakim Noah who was a late scratch with a sore knee.

The Bulls were already dealing with the injury absence of point guard Derrick Rose, guard Jimmy Butler and defensive-minded forward Taj Gibson.

The Bulls were coming off a tough road trip in which the lost six of eight games. They now trail Cleveland in the Central Division by one game.
