Clarke says Warner`s play enough to push selection for Ashes

Sydney: Australian Test captain Michael Clarke has said that his New South Wales teammate David Warner can do `no more` to push his selection for the winter Ashes as he is `just playing beautifully`.

Warner recorded a searing unbeaten half-century in an ultimately fruitless run chase at the MCG on Saturday during the Sheffield Shield conclusion.

According to, Clarke backed Warner for the Ashes, saying that Warner is in `good nick` and has done everything in his power to push for selection, especially by scoring four hundreds in a month, adding that it does not matter what form of the game he has made the scores in.

The report mentioned that after Warner`s likely national opening partner Chris Rogers also notched 200-plus runs in the match, Australia`s top order looks suddenly promising with the first Ashes Test less than two weeks away
