Complaint against brand ambassador Sourav Ganguly
Rajkot: A complaint has been filed against brand ambassador Sourav Ganguly and seven officials of Kolkata-based two-wheeler manufacturer Vibgyor Vehicles for cheating and `false claim` of mileage.
One Ramji Makwana filed the complaint with Thorala police station against Ganguly, Vibgyor CMD Raja Bhadra, vice president Mrugen Banerjee and four other officials, police said.
Makwana said that the company organised a vehicle exchange cum exhibition here in April last year and distributed pamphlets showing the former Team India captain endorsing the product.
The company claimed that the bike gives 117 km mileage per litre but after purchasing the bike gave a mileage of only 60 km, he said, adding it also developed a technical fault.
Makwana said he was cheated by the company for which he filed the complaint seeking action against them, police said.
