The five-match one-day series starts at The Oval from Thursday. The BBC quoted Cook, as saying that he would like to see his side get over the bad performances of the past, and get going in the year ahead. England will face Sri Lanka in one Twenty20 game and an ODI series from May 20 to June 3. This will be followed by a Test series against the same side from June 12. It will be followed by a five Test series against India from July 9 and five one-day matches and a Twenty20 game from August 27. Cook is on record as saying that he is eager to begin working with new England coach Peter Moores. He said that there was a need for his side to get back to its winning ways after a a disastrous winter.
