Sharjah: Australia take on Pakistan in the 1st ODI of the three-match series being played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
Australian skipper George Bailey won the toss and decided to bat first. Australia would be high on confidence after winning the lone T20I by six wickets.
Pakistan on the other hand would want to start afresh in the ODIs, after they were dismissed for mere 96 runs in the T20 match. They have a formidable pace attack and skipper Misbah-ul-Haq would be expecting his pacers to get him some early breakthroughs.
Two players will make their debuts in the match. All-rounder Sean Abbott became the 205th player for Australia to play in ODIs, while Pakistan handed over a debut cap to 35-year-old left-arm spinner Zulfiqar Babar.
Pakistan: Ahmed Shehzad, Asad Shafiq, Misbah-ul-Haq (capt), Umar Akmal, Fawad Alam, Sarfraz Ahmed (wk), Shahid Afridi, Anwar Ali, Wahab Riaz, Zulfiqar Babar, Mohammad Irfan.
Australia: Aaron Finch, David Warner, Steven Smith, George Bailey (capt), Glenn Maxwell, James Faulkner, Brad Haddin (wk), Sean Abbott, Mitchell Johnson, Kane Richardson, Nathan Lyon.
