Zee Media Bureau/Suyash Srivastava Live score and updates from the third ODI between Pakistan and South Africa being played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. SCORECARD» | COMMENTARY» ==================================================================================== South Africa innings: Over 44.3 || Score 191/10 South Africa win by 68 runs! Sohail Tanvir was the last wicket to fall after he pulled a short ball from McLaren straight to Amla at midwicket. Earlier, Wahab Riaz’s fighting knock came to an end when he edged one from Morne Morkel to the keeper. In the next over, Tahir picked his fourth wicket of the match when Ajmal was trapped in front of the wicket. Pakistani batsmen failed to capitalise on the excellent start provided by the openers, and South Africa now lead the series 2-1. Sohail Tanvir c Amla b McLaren 31 (38b) Saeed Ajmal lbw b Imran Tahir 1 (3b) Wahab Riaz c de Kock b Morkel 33 (47b) ==================================================================================== Over 40 || Score 168/7 Surprisingly, South African bowlers failed to pick any wicket in the last ten overs as both Wahab Riaz and Sohail Tanvir played some aggressive strokes with a positive attitude and accumulated 50 runs in the last ten overs. Riaz has been the more aggressive batsman and he has instilled some confidence into Tanvir, who is now scoring boundaries every now and then. While Pakistan still need 92 runs from the last ten overs, these two have given their fans something to cheer after a poor show from the middle order. Wahab Riaz 32* (44b) Sohail Tanvir 14* (23b) ==================================================================================== Over 30 || Score 118/7 Pakistan suffered a major blow when their skipper Misbah was dismissed by Imran Tahir off a googly. Misbah wanted to review the decision and it was too late by the time he made up his mind. Tahir picked his second wicket of the match when Umar Akmal hit a full-toss straight into his hands off his own bowling. Asad Shafiq and Shahid Afridi too fell in quick successions and Pakistan are now wobbling at 118/7. Shahid Afridi lbw b McLaren 6 (7b) Asad Shafiq c du Plessis b Imran Tahir 11 (28b) Umar Akmal c & b Imran Tahir 7 (20b) Misbah-ul-Haq lbw b Imran Tahir 19 (36b) ==================================================================================== Over 20 || Score 87/3 Umar Amin was the third Pakistani batsman to be dismissed after he edged one to de Kock off Tsotsobe’s delivery even though the umpire gave it not out. The decision was then reviewed by South Africa and the change was made. 35 runs have been scored in the last ten overs and once again, Misbah has to play a captain’s knock. Umar Amin c de Kock b Tsotsobe 13 (27b) ==================================================================================== Over 10 || Score 52/2 Surprisingly, Dale Steyn didn’t open the bowling for South Africa as Pakistani openers Mohammad Hafeez and Ahmed Shehzad brought the 50 for their side in just 7.5 overs. Shehzad in particular, played some magnificent strokes including two pull shots that raced towards boundary, off Morne Morkel. Steyn finally got the breakthrough when Shehzad edged one to Hashim Amla at first slip. From 50/0, Pakistan were 52/2 within no time as Hafeez played a cut shot which was very well taken by Faf du Plessis at point. Mohammad Hafeez c du Plessis b Morkel 15 (31b) Ahmed Shehzad c Amla b Steyn 32 (24b) ==================================================================================== Over 50 || Score 259/8 Once Saeed Ajmal picked the wicket of David Miller in the 48th over, wickets fell in a hurry and the Proteas reached a total of 259 runs. It is a good score considering the South African bowling line-up. Pakistan will have to pull out something special to win this match. R McLaren lbw b Mohammad Irfan 13 (7b) DW Steyn c Ahmed Shehzad b Mohammad Irfan 2 (4b) JP Duminy c Misbah-ul-Haq b Sohail Tanvir 64 (89b) DA Miller b Saeed Ajmal 34 (32b) ==================================================================================== Over 40 || Score 194/4 Proteas lost the wicket of their skipper – de Villiers when the right-hander pulled a short ball from Saeed Ajmal and Mohammad Hafeez took an excellent catch at deep square leg. Duminy is playing a pivotal knock for his side and the dangerous David Miller is the new man in. South Africa have scored 44 runs in the last ten overs. AB de Villiers c Mohammad Hafeez b Saeed Ajmal 34 (40b) ==================================================================================== Over 30 || Score 150/3 Faf du Plessis was dismissed in a similar fashion as de Kock after he too shimmied down the track and missed a googly from Afridi. Afridi bowled a beautiful spell where he got rid of both the set batsmen. But JP Duminy and skipper AB de Villiers have stitched in a crucial 38-run partnership for the fourth wicket. F du Plessis st Umar Akmal b Shahid Afridi 55 (60b) ==================================================================================== Over 20 || Score 97/2 Shahid Afridi got Pakistan their second breakthrough when de Kock shimmied down the track and missed the line of a delivery that didn’t spin and the bails were removed by the keeper. The wicket also ended the 77-run partnership between de Kock and du Plessis. Paul Duminy is the new man in. South Africa have scored 50 runs in the last ten overs. Q de Kock st Umar Akmal b Shahid Afridi 40 (57b) ==================================================================================== Over 10 || Score 47/1 South Africa lost Hashim Amla’s wicket early in the innings when the right-hander was bowled by a perfect yorker from Mohammad Irfan. Since then, Faf du Plessis and Quinton de Kock have added unbeaten 27 runs for the second wicket partnership. ====================================================================================
