Jumbo's association with Virat Kohli was a success, as the visitors completed a 2-0 series win against West Indies in the four-match Test series.
Now the attention has shifted to the T20s as the Men in Blue take on the WT20 champions.
This is also a chance for Kumble to work with MS Dhoni for the first time.
The legendary leg-spinner had a chat with Mahi on his arrival in USA and stated that he was excited to work with him.
“This is the first time that I'll be working with MS, obviously we have played together over a long period of time and we had a chat yesterday and today as well.
“I'm really looking forward to working with him and the new set of boys like Bumrah, who's joined as well. I've worked with him in the IPL so it's nice to be a part of the India dressing room again.“
India will play two T20Is against West Indies in America.
