All out for 0! Chasing 120 to win, team fails to score a single run in Kent indoor game

New Delhi: In a historic development, a cricket team was bowled out for 0 in just 20 balls in a county six-a-side indoor championships match.

In a match between Christ Church University in Canterbury and Bapchild Cricket Club, none of the batsmen from the latter team could get off the mark.

“We all couldn’t really believe it to be honest, bowling a team out for 0, especially indoors as all they needed to do was hit a wall to get one run,” Christ Church spinner Mike Rose, who wasn’t required to bowl, told the Crawley Observer.

Christ Church comprehensively won by 120 runs after batting first and compiling 1/120. The total included 25 wides.

The pick of the bowlers for the winning team were Fraser McWhinnie (3/0) - including a hat-trick from two overs and Philip Semmens, who claimed 3/0 from 1.2 overs.

The Bapchild Cricket Club's cricketers shouldn't be too embarrassed as shockingly, it’s not the first time a team has been bowled out for nought. Somerset outfit Huish and Langport CC failed to score in an 11-a-side outdoor game against Glastonbury in 1913.
