Rogers scored 6 (29b). ==================================================================================== AUSTRALIA Over 7 || Score 24/1 Australia have been dealt an early blow as they have lost the wicket of opening batsman Shane Watson who was trapped in front by James Anderson. Usman Khawaja is the new batsman in the middle. Aussies are chasing 583 runs to win the Lord’s Test and level the series. Watson scored 20 (23b, 4X3). ==================================================================================== England 2nd innings Over 114 || Score 349/6 Joe Root’s fine innings finally comes to an end but he missed a golden opportunity to score a double ton. Root scored 180 runs, falling short of his double ton by 20 runs. With the fall of Root’s wicket, England declared their second innings. Australia need 583 to win. They need to bat basically two days to save the match. Now it’s time for Australia to fight back, as it’s their last chance save the match. ==================================================================================== Over 110 || Score 333/5 Australia look demoralised. It was a tough day for them. Root got a standing ovation from his teammates. Off the 109th over, Root hit two massive sixes. The Day 3 day belonged to Root. He is unbeaten at 178 and one of the reasons for England’s huge lead. Australians will need a stellar performance to take the match. It’s a tough task ahead for the Aussies.
