Sydney: Australian No.11 debutant Ashton Agar, who hit a brilliant 98 to rescue his team on Thursday, received sympathy for his failed maiden Test century from Twitter users in the UK.
England fans began peppering their Tweets with `gutted for Agar`, which was in total contrast to the Ashes rivalry, soon after the young Australian was removed for 98.
After Agar`s name had been broadcast repeatedly all over the world, the young star described the scenario as a potentially life-changing experience.
Agar said that it was a dream come true and to start the way he did in his debut had made him go over the moon.
The 19-year-old also offered a little apology to his parents for not reaching the three figures, the report added.
