Batsmen will face difficulties in handling Jasprit Bumrah's yorkers: Glenn McGrath

New Delhi: The emergence of young Jasprit Bumrah has helped bolster India's pace attack, which has been struggling of late.

Inconsistency and injuries are two major reasons why Team India has failed to find an ideal quartet of bowlers for a sustained period of time.

The form of Bumrah has given Indian fans reason to cheer ahead of the Asia Cup and ICC World T20.

The Gujarat pacer has impressed experts with the accuracy with which he bowled his yorkers in the recent series against Australia and Sri Lanka.

On Monday, the 22-year-old received an endorsement from the legendary Glenn McGrath.

"Yes, I feel that the batsmen will keep facing difficulties in handling Bumrah if he consistently bowls those yorkers. He has got an unusual action and batsmen will need time to adjust to it. Bumrah trained here two years back and has improved a lot," the former Aussie pacer was quoted as saying by the Times of India.

Bumrah has picked up 11 wickets from six T20Is and 1 ODI so far. His form is critical to India's chances not just in the Asia Cup but also the World T20.
