New Delhi: Indian cricketers are considered as national heroes by fans and are virtually mobbed everywhere they go.

Keeping Indian cricketers away from the fan frenzy during travel in India and on tours abroad is a security nightmare.

But on the tour to Australia, the man keeping a close watch on MS Dhoni and his boys is not only extremely competent but also another national hero.

Retired Brigadier Govind Singh Sisodia, security consultant for Team India, is a former Deputy Inspector General of the National Security Guard that executed the anti-terror operations in Mumbai in 2008.

BCCI hired Sisodia to manage security arrangements for Team India on the Australian tour.

Fascinated by his story, the Australian media was keen to talk to Sisodia, but BCCI guidelines do not permit support staff of the team to interact with the press for interviews.
