Twenty20 cricket is pure entertainment value, says Australia's Shane Watson

New Delhi: Australia have been riding high on Tests and ODIs in world cricket and when it comes to Twenty20 format, Shane Watson feels it only has entertainment value.

Australia lost the first T20 game against India by 37 runs and will have to win the 2nd match on Friday to stay alive in the 3-match series.

Watson feels that this format only deals with entertainment as there are no big things or rankings involved.

"There is no rankings or big sort of things around and its pure entertainment value, and it certainly provides a lot of entertainment,” said Watson.

Watson also added that there isn't anything much riding on the series apart from national pride.

"It is challenging with T20Is. Apart from the World T20, there really isn't that much riding on the series apart from national pride and wanting to win for your country," said Watson on Thursday.

Watson went on to add that there isn't much continuity with the Aussie T20 group and therefore it is challenging to get the combination right as he cites this reason for Australia being inconsistent.

Shane Watson who had a very productive Big Bash League, had a good outing for Australia in the first T20 game in Adelaide.
