New Delhi: In what could have been a massive blow for the Aussies ahead of the first ODI against India, Australian skipper Steve Smith was hit on the chest during a training session on Monday.

In a video shared by cricket.com.au, Smith, who was batting in the nets, can be seen being hit by a ferocious bouncer on the chest, post which he fell on the ground and looked in pain for quite some time.

However, minutes later, the 26-year-old was seen getting batting tips from Australia's chairman of selectors Rod Marsh.

Smith has been in incredible form and his wicket would be the key for MS Dhoni's bowlers in the limited-overs series.
