New Delhi: Veteran former Pakistani cricketer Azhar Mahmood is excited about playing alongside Kumar Sangakkara for Surrey in the English County Championship.
Sangakkara who joined the English domestic team in January, will be available for them for most of the 2015 season after the ICC World Cup.
The Sri Lankan legend got to his his 22nd ODI hundred on Thursday after smashing a fluent 105 (not out) against Asian rivals Bangladesh in the ongoing ICC World Cup.
The veteran stitched a mammoth 210-run unbeaten partnership with Tillakaratne Dilshan and helped the Lankans win the Pool A match by 92 runs. Azhar Mahmood lauded Sangakkara for his supreme batting and stated he is looking forward to play under him in the coming season.
He expressed his views on social micro-blogging site, Twitter.
