At the end of play on day 4 West Indies were 565 for the loss of 4 wickets. On a placid track, West Indian batsmen made hay as Marlon Samuels registered his maiden Test double century. Shivnarine Chanderpaul also scored a century and was batting on 109* along with Denesh Ramdin who was batting on 4* at the close of the 3rd day’s play. Samuels made 260 runs before being caught by Sunny off Hossain. Only two wickets fell on the third day and West Indies now lead by 177 runs.
