New Delhi: Opener Adrian Barath and wicketkeeper-batsman Carlton Baugh will be returning home in a couple of days time after sustaining hamstring injuries that
will keep them out of action for the next three weeks.
"They will be returning home in the next couple of days," media manager Philip Spooner informed on Friday.
It will definitely be a huge blow for West Indies as Barath was in good form of late having scored a century in the recently concluded ODI series in Sri Lanka. Barath has played 4 Test and 8 ODIs for West Indies having scored a century in each of the versions.
Baugh has played eight Tests and 33 ODIs for West Indies.
The two replacement players are batsman Kirk Edwards and wicketkeeper Devon Thomas. 26-year-old Edwards represents Barbados and has played 26 first-class matches so far.
21-year-old Thomas played two ODIs for West Indies against Bangladesh in 2009 when the top rung cricketers refused to play due to payment dispute.
