New Delhi: For all those who thought T20 cricket was all about the youth power, the match between Sydney Thunder vs Brisbane Heat in the ongoing season of Big Bash League proved to be an eye opener.
Michael Hussey (39) and Jacques Kallis (39), opened the innings for Sydney Thunder and smashed 160 runs for the first-wicket partnership in just 17 overs. While the Australian scored 96 from 60 balls, the Proteas legend pummeled a 55-ball 97.
It was a great displaying of power hitting which was hailed by several cricketers who voiced their opinion on Twitter.
So we have Freddie Flintoff (37) bowling at Mike Hussey (39) and Jacques Kallis (39). Who says T20 cricket is a young mans game! #brilliant

As a result of the incredible opening stand, Sydney Thunder posted a formidable total of 208 runs. In reply, Brisbane Heat looked totally out of rhythm and fell short by 56 runs.
In the same match, another veteran who participated was former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff. The all-rounder, however failed to make any impact as he first conceded 25 runs from two overs and was dismissed for a third-ball duck.
