Mumbai: With the promos of Ranbir Kapoor’s much-awaited flick ‘Wake Up Sid’ being a hit with the youngsters, filmdom is abuzz with talks of the film’s similarity to Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Lakshya’. However, the director of ‘Wake Up Sid’, Karan Johar, has clarified that this flick is very different from ‘Lakshya’.
Clearing the air, Karan said, “My film ‘Wake Up Sid’ has nothing to do with ‘Lakshya’, it`s as simple as that. Yes, may be there are parallels being drawn because there is a thin line that goes through both the films. In ‘Wake Up Sid’, the first half is about youngsters who are aimless and wayward and it is this factor which is making people search for similarities in the two films."
“Just like ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, ‘Wake Up Sid’ too is a coming of age film. Of course, the two are entirely different films from both texture as well as tone perspective," he added.
Hope ‘Wake Up Sid’ turns out to be as interesting as the promos display!
