20th over: 108/7 Morkel to bowl the last over. Saangwan and Narine somehow manage to survive at the crease. Morkel ends the over with a dot ball and Delhi Daredevils have won their first match by 52 runs!

19th over: 105/7 Yadav to bowl his final over. Sangwan hits a boundary off the first ball through covers! Yadav bowls a Yorker length ball to dislodge Lee’s off-stump! Seven runs from the over.

18th over: 98/6 Irfan Pathan in his final over. Three runs came off the first three balls and then Lee swung hard at the fourth ball and clobbered it over deep square leg for a Six! Excellent spell from Pathan comes to an end 4-0-20-2

17th over: 87/6 Morkel brought back to wrap up the tail. He fires in a bouncer and Bhatia gets a thick edge that goes all the way for a Six! towards third-man. Bhatia attempts a cut shot and nicks that to the keeper. Lee smashes the last ball over covers for a boundary! 12 runs from the over.

15th over: 72/5 Agarkar into his final over. Tiwary hit one high in the air and Agarkar takes a comfortable catch off his own bowling. Just one run from the over.

14th over: 71/4 Negi to continue. Ojha misses another stumping chance. Both the wicket-keeper’s have had a forgettable day so far. Six runs from the over.

3rd over: 12/3 Pathan to continue. Yusuf Pathan plays the last ball towards square leg and a wayward return produces another four runs as byes. Seven runs from the over.

2nd over: 5/3 Morne Morkel to bowl from the other end. And he gets a wicket first ball! It was a nothing delivery and McCullum hit its straight to the fielder at point. And Kallis is injured. Morne Morkel nipped one into Kallis and the ball hit his gloves, his finger is bleeding. And bad news for KKR fans. Kallis is walking off the field, he is clearly not happy. Yusuf Pathan is the new batsman. Morkel fires another bouncer to Pathan, which hits his arm. Just two runs from the over. KKR are wobbling.

1st over: 3/2 Gambhir and Bisla to open for KKR. Irfan Pathan will bowl the first over. Bisla works the first ball for no run on the leg side. Huge lbw appeal off the second ball which nipped into the right-hander, turned down by the umpire, one bye taken. Gambhir on strike. Out first ball! Gambhir wanted to hit over mid-on, didn’t connect well and Pietersen took a very easy catch. Bad form continues for the left-hander. McCullum is the new batsman. Bisla takes a single. McCullum gets off the mark with a single. Pathan bowls last ball of the over which keeps low and Bisla is caught plumb in front of the wicket! What a start for the Dardevils, what a start for Pathan! Two wickets in the first over.

20th over: 160/8 Balaji to bowl the final over. Ajit Agarkar is the new batsman. Pathan scores a boundary towards fine leg. Balaji goes fuller and Agarkar smashes that over long-on for a Six! No respite for Balaji. Balaji dismisses Agarkar off the last ball of the innings. Balaji ends his horrendous spell – 4-0-61-2

And he hits the ball high in the air and Yusuf Pathan at long-off takes the catch in the second attempt. Excellent stuff from Narine. Just one run and a couple of wickets in the over. Narine ends his excellent spell 4-0-21-3

17th over: 144/4 Balaji comes back into the attack. And he begins with a wide on the leg-side, three runs scored. Balaji follows it with a short ball, in the slot for Taylor as he smashes that towards deep square leg for a Six! Balaji bowls a full toss and this time Taylor scores another boundary towards fine leg. Balaji bowls another short ball and Taylor once again targets the square leg region, but this time finds Rajat Bhatia! Taylor is Out! Irfan Pathan is the new batsman. Balaji offers some width to Chand who makes some room and goes over deep backward point for a Six! Balaji follows it with another poor ball and Chand works that towards the vacant fine leg region for a boundary! And that’s not all, Balaji bowls a short ball, and this time Chand works that towards third-man for a boundary! What an over it is proving out to be for the Delhi Daredevils! And to add to KKR’s woes, Balaji has bowled a No Ball which means a free-hit for Chand. Two runs off the last ball. 30 runs from the over! Excellent hitting from Unmukt Chand!

16th over: 114/3 Narine brought into the attack. Narine misses a run-out chance. The last ball produced four byes as Bisla failed to read Narine. Eleven runs from the over.

15th over: 103/3 Kallis to bowl his third over. He’s looking in some discomfort. He continues to bowl some tight delivery. Kallis bowls a slower one and Chand clobbers that way over deep midwicket boundary for a huge six! Taylor pats the youngster on the back for that quality stroke. Kallis ends the over with a dot ball. Ten runs from the over.

14th over: 93/3 Brett Lee to bowl his final over. Lee built pressure with a tight line and length for five balls. Chand decided to dispatch the last ball and hit it very high in the air and was dropped by Manoj Tiwary at deep midwicket off the last delivery, three runs scored. Six runs from the over.

13th over: 87/3 Sangwan to bowl his third over. Taylor was offered some width and he smacked that towards the Delhi dugout for a Six! Ten runs from the over.

11th over: 71/3 Sangwan to continue. He offers some width to Chand who plays another superb shot towards deep backward point for a boundary. Chand follows it with a single towards deep cover. Seven runs from the over.

10th over: 64/3 Lee to bowl his third over. And KP hits the first ball over Lee’s head for a single. Lee welcomes Chand with a terrific bouncer! Chand gets off-strike with another good looking shot. KP works the next ball towards mid-on for a single. Lee bowls another short one, KP was expecting that as he smashes one towards deep midwicket, but there was a fielder there just for that shot and Pietersen is Out! Ross Taylor is new the batsman. 9th over: 62/2 Pradeep Sangwan comes into the attack. And he gets the big fish! Sehwag is Out! He tried to make some room and edged the ball to the keeper. Unmukt Chand is the new batsman. And he gets off the mark with a glorious cover drive on the rise! Top shot from the youngster! Five runs from the over.

V Sehwag c Bisla b Sangwan 22 (17b)

8th over: 57/1 Narine to continue. And Bisla does a blunder! KP was looking to scoop the ball, he got a nick and Bisla held that for a second and then wanted to celebrate too early and grassed it! Just three runs from the over.

7th over: 54/1 Kallis to continue. Pietersen comes down the track and flicks the ball towards deep midwicket for a boundary! Eight runs from the over.

6th over: 46/1 Sunil Narine comes into the attack. And what a start for him! A wicket first ball! He pitches one outside off, Mahela was looking for some room, the ball spun sharply and knocked Mahela’s off-stump! Pietersen is the new batsman. And Pietersen escapes as an edge went past Bisla’s gloves. Narine pitches one fuller length and Sehwag smacks that inside-out for a magnificent Six! Ten runs from the over.

5th over: 36/0 Kallis comes into the attack. Mahela scored a boundary in that over. Six runs from the over.

4th over: 30/0 Balaji to continue. Bisla dropped Sehwag off a tough chance. Viru smashed one short ball towards fine leg for a boundary. Eight runs from the over.

3rd over: 22/0 Lee to continue. Mahela pulled Lee for another boundary off a top shot. Lee attempted a Yorker and Mahela worked that towards deep midwicket for a boundary. Nine runs from the over.

2nd over: 13/0 Balaji to bowl the second over. Mahela scored the first boundary of the innings as he thumped one towards third-man. Virender Sehwag also scored his first boundary as he drove one past covers. Two boundaries in the over for the Daredevils. 11 runs from the over.

IPL 2012 winners Kolkata Knight Riders will take on the mighty Delhi Daredevils in their first match of the 2012 CLT20. KKR will be high on confidence after winning the IPL this year while star-studded Delhi side would also want to begin their campaign in style.

Players to watch out for:

Gautam Gambhir: The Indian veteran was a flop show at ICC World T20, and he would be keen to inspire his side with a formidable show with the bat.

Virender Sehwag: He might be struggling at the international level and thus it could be the right time for the former Daredevils skipper to gain some form and entertain the crowd with his swashbuckling style.
