Chennai: Chennai Police said the investigation against suspended IPL Chairman Lalit Modi is on and they have sought some details from the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) regarding that.
"We have given a questionnaire to BCCI, seeking clarification on the series of meetings of BCCI and IPL and the minutes (of the meetings). Our investigation is on," T Rajendiran, city Police Commissioner told reporters.
Police had registered a case against Modi and six others under different sections of IPC including criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust, falsification of accounts and cheating.
BCCI secretary N Srinivasan had filed a complaint against Modi, alleging misappropriation of funds to the tune of Rs 470 crore on issues including media rights and free commercial rights.
