Chris Broad to succeed Botham in PCA next month

London: ICC match referee and England pace spearhead Stuart Broad`s father Chris will replace legendary allrounder Ian Botham as president of the Professional Cricketers` Association next month.

The 53-year-old Broad, a former England Test player, will take up his new role next month for a fixed term of two years, the Daily Mail reported.

The 55-year-old Botham, one of the finest allrounders of all time, informed the PCA about his decision to step down, saying his TV commitments and charity work will leave him no time to do justice to his job.
