Williamson tapped the fourth ball towards point and ran for a single, there was no run there and Devcich was short of his crease when Peterson's throw hit the stumps. End of a fabulous partnership between these two - 140 runs. The wicket has probably come a little late for the Cobras. Skipper Daniel Flynn is the new man in. Philander ended the over with a short of a length delivery and Flynn hit it straight to the fielder at mid-off. Some respite for the Cobras with those two quick blows.

Kleinveldt brought back into the attack. First ball had width on offer and Williamson played a cut shot between point and third man for a boundary which also brings Williamson's half-century off just 25 balls! The Cobras bowlers are being punished for some very poor bowling.

Fifth ball was a full-toss and Devcich timed it perfectly between square leg and short fine leg for a boundary. That boundary also brought the half-century partnership between these two. Nine from the over. Ontong has plenty to ponder over right now.

Philander to continue. It was proving to be a good over before Philander pitched one short and Williamson pulled it over deep fine leg for the first Six of the innings! 15 from the over. Charl Langeveldt to bowl the first over for the Cobras. Kane Williamson and Anton Devcich to open the innings for Northern Districts. Fifth ball drifted down the leg side, Williamson timed it well past fine leg for a boundary. Decent start by  Langeveldt, five from the first over.

==============================================================================

Knights are in sublime form having won all of their three matches in the qualifying stage of the tournament. While Kane Williamson has done most of the scoring for them so far, skipper Daniel Flynn and BJ Watling too have hit half-centuries and are in good rhythm as well.

In the bowling department, they have two absolute gems in Trent Boult and Tim Southee who ripped through the batting orders of the teams in the league stage. Southee, in particular, was very effective as he claimed seven wickets in the first three matches.

Cape Cobras on the other hand have some big names with them in Justin Ontong, Justin Kemp, Charl Langeveldt and Robin Peterson. But one player, who will be expected to play formidable knocks for them is Hashim Amla. The right-hander has been in superb form of late and has been extremely consistent in limited-overs cricket.

The Cobras won't hit the field with their full strength as Dale Steyn, JP Duminy and Beuran Hendricks won't be a part of the squad. While Steyn has been rested, the other two South Africans have missed the series due to injuries. In Steyn's absence, Vernon Philander will be leading the attack.
