BANGLADESH (2nd innings) Score: 158/4 II Overs: 69 (Haq 36*, Rahim 7*)

At the end of the 3rd day's play Bangladesh were 158 for the loss of four wickets. Haque is batting well on 36* and Rahim (7*) has looked good so far in the middle. Bangladesh now lead by 52 runs with 6 wickets in hand.

For Sri Lanka Herath has picked up three wickets for 45 and has looked the most impressive bowler so far.

Bangladesh have lost two wickets in their second innings. Mohammad Ashraful was the second wicket to fall after being bowled by Rangana Herath. He scored 4 (18b). They are leading Sri Lanka by 12 runs.

TEA Bangladesh have lost the wicket of Tamim Iqbal who was out after being bowled. He scored 59 (107b, 4X4, 6X1). This session has been dominated by the visiting side. All they need now is a repeat of their performance that they doled out in the first Test. They’re still trailing by 13 runs with nine wickets in hand.

Bangladesh have begun well in their second dig with the opening pair of Iqbal and Islam adding 56 runs for the first wicket. Iqbal has been the dominating of the two with 40 runs that include four boundaries.

LUNCH A session that saw Bangladesh not allowing Sri Lanka to extend their lead beyind 106 runs. They have bowled them out for 346 runs and have safely negotiated the seven overs before lunch without losing any wicket.

Sri Lanka have been bowled out for 346 runs by Bangladesh. They have taken a lead of 106 runs. Kulasekara and Eranga were the final two wickets to fall. The former fell to Gazi – becoming his third victim of the innings after being caught by wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim while the latter succumbed to Mahmudullah.

SRI LANKA(1st innings) Score: 334/8 II Overs: 108 (Kulasekara: 18*, Eranga 7*)

Sri Lanka have lost two wickets today. Kumar Sangakkara was the first to depart after being caught by wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim off Abu Hasan. He scored 139 (289b, 4X11). Rangana Herath was the next wicket to fall. He was clean bowled by Sohag Gazi. He added just three runs to the total. Lanka are leading by 94 runs.

SRI LANKA(1st innings) Score: 294/6 II Overs: 93 (Sangakkara: 127*, Kulasekara: 2*)

Sri Lanka ended the second day at 294 for the loss of 6 wickets. Their innings was built largely on the contributions made by Sangakkara, who remained unbeaten on 127* and Chandimal who scored 102 runs. For Bangladesh Hossain and Islam took 2 wickets each.
