Sreesanth and Janardhanan had checked into the hotel on the night of 13 May.

While addressing a press conference here on Saturday, the Joint CP Himanshu Roy said that Sreesanth had booked a room on his own in a 5 star hotel for himself and Janardhanan. A thorough search of the rooms were conducted which led to the recovery of a laptop, mobile, cash, data card and a diary possibly belonging to Sreesanth.

“We raided premises in Kalbadevi area on 14 May and arrested bookie Ramesh Vyas. 92 mobile phones were seized, 18 simcards, a laptop and cash. 30 of these phones were used to facilitate connecting bookies in India, Pakistan and Dubai via conference calls.”

“We’ve reason to believe that both checked into the hotel late on the night of 13 May. We are recreating their movements on 14 and 15 May and are in process of obtaining CCTV camera feeds to understand who visited him while he was in hotel,” he said.

He said that the recovery of these documents will throw more light on the scandal.

Lending credence to the theory of a foreign mastermind, he also revealed that several conference calls had been made to Pakistan and Dubai.
