Love Aaj Kal’s ‘Twist’ originally meant for ‘Singh is Kinng’

Saif-Deepika starrer ‘Love Aaj Kal’, which released with a good opening at the Box Office this Friday, is not just being liked for its script but is also topping the charts for its music. According the latest news, the hit track ‘Twist’ from the movie was originally meant for blockbuster ‘Singh is Kinng’, but was rejected in favour of the Snoop Dogg track. According to our source, music director Pritam had originally composed ‘Twist’, hoping that it would find a place in ‘Singh Is Kinng’.

According the latest news, the hit track ‘Twist’ from the movie was originally meant for blockbuster ‘Singh is Kinng’, but was rejected in favour of the Snoop Dogg track. According to our source, music director Pritam had originally composed ‘Twist’, hoping that it would find a descent place in ‘Singh Is Kinng’. However, at the last minute, Snoop Dogg’s song was included, and there wasn’t room for one more track. Later, when Pritam made Imtiaz Ali listen to ‘Twist’ for ‘Love Aaj Kal’, he apparently loved it and said, “When I heard the song, the entire rhythm was ready. I am not aware if the song was meant for ‘Singh Is Kinng’.” Talking about his song, Pritam told a news daily, “I desperately attempted to include ‘Twist’ in ‘Singh Is Kinng’. Normally, we always make the promotional track at the end of the film and we give it our best shot. Both Vipul bhai and Anees bhai loved the track, but it was decided that they would go with the Snoop Dogg song for the end credits. As a music director, I always want the entire album to be mine and I don’t like sharing the music director’s credit with anyone. However, then I didn’t have the Naagin been in the song. It was recorded for ‘Love Aaj Kal’.” Well, we guess it happened for good, especially for Saif, for only ‘Twist’ could make him twist his not so flexible body!
