Court orders probe against Andhra Cricket Association

Vijayawada: A local court directed the Anti-Corruption Bureau here to register a case against Andhra Cricket Association with regard to the complaint of misappropriation of funds to the tune of Rs 10 crore by its members.

Justice T Simhachalam passed the order on the application of P Vijayakumar, Secretary, Chittoor District Cricket Association.

The judge directed ACB to submit an inquiry report by July 28.

Elections for ACA are scheduled for July 13. There have been allegations and counter-allegations by the two rival groups, one led by present Secretary G Ganga Raju and the other led by former secretary N Venkata Rao.

Ganga Raju said that allegations against him and other members were baseless.
