Peter Andre’s new song inspired by split from Jordan

Washington: Peter Andre has confessed that his latest song `Behind Closed Doors` has been inspired by his relationship with his estranged wife Katie Price, with whom he parted ways in May.The ‘Mysterious Girl’ singer split from Katie, aka Jordan, after three-and-a-half years of marriage.

Andre has revealed that the track is about people who constantly hide behind a façade, and are completely different once they drop their act. "The title kind of says it all - behind closed doors things aren’t always what they seem. It’s saying that a lot of people live a facade, even if it’s just a little bit like, when you go to work and put a smile on your face, you might love your job but when you come home and just strip down - I don’t mean strip your clothes off! - when you’re just on your own, it’s different. It’s basically a generalisation, although in my case it was probably deeper than that but I don’t have to go into that," Contactmusic quoted him as having told VidZone for Playstation3. The 36-year-old star, embroiled in a bitter divorce battle with Katie, is raising three children with her. He also said that the split is taking a serious toll on his physique. Peter is believed to have lost around 37lbs following the break-up, and although he is thrilled with his slim-line figure, he has advised others not to follow in his footsteps. ANI
